First COVID-19 case confirmed at the K’ima:w Medical Center in Hoopa.

Today, the first COVID-19 case was confirmed at the K’ima:w Medical Center in Hoopa. We wish the individual a speedy and straightforward recovery.

To date, there have been 44 confirmed cases in Humboldt County and two in Del Norte County.

While there have been no confirmed cases on the Yurok Reservation, the Yurok Tribe is prepared to provide assistance if a reservation resident contracts COVID-19. The Yurok Office of Emergency Services reminds everyone to continuously practice social distancing and all other personal safety recommendations until this public health crisis has concluded.
